Come look at this thread!! Post some pics(or type!)of some delicious breakfast or dinner that you give to your guinea pig

The easiest dinner:

A little bit of carrot
A lot of blueberries
Bit of romaine lettuce
Chunks of apples

Mix it up like a salad and your ready

Rosie's dinner:

4 chunks of zucchini
4 chunks of carrots
4 chunks of apple
Soft stalks of hay

Garnish:
Two mini florets of cauliflower
One long stalk of hay

Put soft hay at bottom of bowl
Add washed chunks to bowl

Garnish with mini florets and stick the long stalk of hay in vertically and sprinkle with pellets (optional)image.webp

I try, in that I tend to give six varieties of veg out of the veg they eat, and vary it in the way I chop it from time to time :) Nothing gormet though I'm afraid... :)

You could make this easily. Rosie ate everything in her bowl besides the cauliflower garnish so I know she likes it:tu:

Thanks :) I do think they enjoy a bit of variety, and you've put a lovely variety in their bowl. It's lovely to see your piggies enjoying their meals I think. But perhaps mine need a bit of training to appreciate fine-dining. I'm afraid my lot don't have any table manners at all, especially the way Oreo likes to take food right out of Freddie's mouth - not very refined behaviour! :) x

Rosie is a single guinea pig- she doesn't need any! I know it's illegal for where you are to have 1 guinea pig, but it is not the case in the usa

No it's not illegal, though many shops and almost all rescues will not sell a single pig unless it's to be bonded with another, because the vast majority really do like to have company of their own kind. I think the USA has a similar policy with their rescues and many of the pet stores, though it's up to each one.

I got her from a farm. She was put in a plastic tub and she had nobody to play with and when we got her she was chased by a very frightening hand;(
But she was free of charge

Aw bless her. She lived on her own on the farm? Sounds like she's settled in with you :)

Rosie's lovely, and please don't take this as an insult to your photograph, or to you, but the forum has a no dress-up policy for photos (even just when they're dressed briefly for a picture, as Rosie was). We like to see the pigs as they naturally are. I know some pigs are more chilled than others but because so many feel stressed when dressed we don't encourage it. x

I think it should be illegal to own one guinea pig anywhere.
