I picked Pandora up for a cuddle and she had a tiny bit of clear discharge, all I can describe it as was like a clear snot :{

I have watched her very carefully for the last 5 hours, shes not in any pain when peeing/pooping and is eating and drinking just as normal. There has been no more of this discharge since I first spotted it.

Has anyone had this before or any clue's to what it could be? :{

I am taking the baby pigs for their health check this friday, so if its not urgent I will get them to check her out down below.

My Guinea pig, Candy has had that before and it was while she was near a boar- her little son! Does Pandora live near any boars? It should be fine though- Candy was fine- it's harmless.

I don't think you need to worry if it is a one off.

I couldn't wait until tomorrow:red I rang my vet and she said sometimes this can be the signs of female guinea pigs are in "heat" they can produce a clear discharge, I have checked every single day and the cage to make sure theres no more discharge but can't find anything.

However the vet is going to be doing a thorough examination of her tomorrow just incase there's and infection.

Thanks everyone :)

I'm sure the vet thinks I'm a fruit loop, I am never off the phone to her:red

Storm has had that before, vet said it was nothing to worry about. My vets think I am a fruit loop too - my girls only ever seem to be ill in evenings, so we take them to out of hours at our vets at higher rates - for them to tell us they are ok! Mind you, our vets do 24/7 appointments which is great.

I know what you mean! My rabbits are the worst culprits, fine in the morning and afternoon and then ill after 7pm which is when my vets close and the emergency vets open, typical isn't it! x

Four words to guarantee a vet's needed:

Holiday
Bank Holiday
Sunday

My girls have this occasionally usually when they are in season...I would'nt worry. I do also notice that as soon as one is in season then they all are! Its complete and utter chaos for a couple of days and the poor boy just hides in his corner and lets them get on with it!

All went well at the vets, Tinkerbell, Pandora & Lexi are all healthy little monkeys.

Pandora has no signs of an infection and she even gave the vet a nice big bite for freerolleyes Tinks & Lex were very well behaved and Rosie(thier mother) has put on more weight and is looking good.

Just have to wait for Sadie's turn...toe removal:{

Thanks for the advice everyone:)
