Hey guys,
My boys have been diagnosed with mites and have been given an ivermectin injection and back in 10 days for another. I have had to give their cage a good clean so I used water/vinegar solution is this enough to clean their cage after a mites outbreak?

Also any idea on what I could use to give their water bottle and food dish a good clean? :)

I usually disinfect my cage once a week with Johnson's Clean 'n' Safe spray it says on the bottle kills bacteria and viruses where pets live, sleep and feed', guess this would be strong enough after a mite outbreak. I clean my bottles and bowls with Milton baby bottle tablets, dilute in warm water as per instructions on box. I put everything in a large plastic container with a lid leave for a few hours and then rinse in hot water. Hope this helps.

I have got some wipes with F10 - they are supposed to be the best thing for fungus and i imagine anything else.. you can buy the solution too online, its pricey but goes a long way.

From what I've heard in other threads - vinegar and water is fine as the vinegar kills germs.

I use Conficlean - which is available from several online sources. I buy mine from the hay experts .

I have glass bottles and I routinely steralise them with boiling water once a week.

The food bowls I have are dishwasher safe . I usually just hand wash them but, if I wanted to sterilise them , I could put them in the dishwasher ( I could put their bottles in too ).
