Don't worry! It's not as bad as it sounds. My guinea pig Pickles has a dislocated hip. We don't know how or when it happened but I spotted that she was walking funny when I first got her. I showed her to @Oliviaaa 's friend's mum who is a vet and said that something is definitely wrong so she had a day trip to the vets (I think she quite enjoyed it because when the vet dropped her back at our house she said that when she was sat in the corner she was purring away!). They took an x-ray and found this out so I was faced with an option to go ahead with a massive operation to take some of her hip bone off or leave it and hope she gets better, it would've been extremely painful for her if things didn't go to plan so I chose not to as I couldn't cope without my precious piggie. Instead we had her take an incredibly successful oral suspension and it worked miraculously! Of course it didn't put her hip back into place but she was walking normally again! Now she can't stop popcorning, jumping, and can run as fast as any other guinea pig and can even beg for her veggies! I am so grateful to have such a strong and beautiful guinea pig that I love so much :luv:.

Bless her that must have been painful, glad the medication helped. Was it an anti-inflammatory?
