Disposal of Carefresh

Hi all.Can anyone tell me how they dispose of used Carefresh from their piggies cages? Ive got one of those garden/food waste council bins that most councils have these days.I it ok to put it in there? I know if I ring my council to ask they wouldn't know what I'm on about!
