Ok so a few nights ago my boys fought more than what their normal dominance behaviour is. I had to decide to seperate them for the night before injuries occurred. Since then my dominant boy keeps making what I think is distress calls. I've checked him carefully and can see no injuries he seems to be eating and drinking as normal and apart from the calls is otherwise acting like his normal self. Is this something I need to take to a cavy savvy vet or is it after effects of me separating them?

I don’t really know to be honest. Maybe he just misses his bud? Sorry for not being very helpful.

They remained in the same cage I put a divider in and removed it the next day
Does he seem to be in any pain. I mean a little check up n vet hurt anyone. They should be getting a yearly check up anyways :)

Wow my grammar died here. Let me fix that one sentence with correct grammar “I mean a little check up at the vet never hurt anyone”

Well I checked him over and didn't seem to be in pain and he's loads brighter today. I think he was punishing me for the separation lol
