Dixie is a daddy.....

and what a fantastic dad he is....

When these little guys came to live with me after their mummy died when they were two weeks old, Dixie, stepped in to be a mummy and a daddy to them. The previous week Dixie had lost his brother Pixie and was feeling very sad. However, with three new little sons to look after he couldn't feel sad for too long. He is doing such a great job and the boys cuddle up to him when they sleep.

Jake, in particular, looks very like his dad. I am hoping to keep them together. They are now 9 weeks old and still get on really well. Dixie is very loving but if they start getting silly, he soon puts them in their place!

Reese, George and Jake also have a sister called Lola, who lives with Cherry.

Everyone who sees them immediately presumes that Dixie is the mummy. Especially as he likes to keep all the babies close to him.

I don't know whether it's because they lost their mum so early on, but the boys are so cuddly and just want to attach themselves to Dixie whenever they can. He's happy for them to be like that though which is so lovely to see.
