Hi! :)
I am making a DIY litter box for the piglets.
They will have to jump about 4 1/2 - 5 inches to get inside of the litter box.
They are used to jumping that high, as their litter boxes now are 3 inches high, and they have a platform in their room that is about 4 1/2 inches that they like to jump on and off of.
Do you think that this height will be okay?
Thank you! :)

I think it should be okay. My piggies have a hay tray they jump into - quite gracefully May I add 😍
The box itself is 6 inches, but the piggies...ackem...spoiled...ackem...have a one-inch pad beneath their fleece to support their joints (sort of like memory foam).

I use the blocks of coir ,l break it into small pieces, and after putting in a puppy pad add 3-4 hands full of the coir per tray, than add a handful of chopped hay (chaff) this encourages them to use the tray, coir will take 10 times it's volume in liquid, and don't smell.

mine have a large hay box which is a plastic storage box with a door way cut out, i layer it with newspaper and in the summer months i use Bio-Catolet cat litter - which is paper to help with any smells - topped with about a good 6+ " of hay.. they love it!

How did you cut out the door? :)
Thank you so much!
