Djingis Tornado Kahn - 2023.08.15 - 2025.09.01

Djingis is the proof we dont own our piggies, we just loan them. This little tornado moved in in april, made a complete mess and stole our hearts.

Djingis did not obey to any houserules. He was a true escapeartist and just zoomed away in the hallway. Got lost and screamed for help. A crazy, loud little kid.



Djingis was childish, dramatic and sweet as sugar to watch. In the beginning he was so hard to handle and started some bloodbaths on his slaves. We bonded over critical care, and Djingis slowly started to enjoy cuddles.

It was four very intense but fun months with this little terrorpig and I fell deeply i love with him. He was so small but such a big character.



Its so sad Djingis only became two years old and lost the fight to a dentalproblem. He was living his best life until three weeks ago and I really hope he knows how loved he became in these four months in our family.

Djingis Kahn really was a fitting name for you, little Bug. You will be our popcorn at the bridge and star at the sky forever. We will miss you and your energy so much

There are piggies where God broke the mould after creating them. They enter our life, turn it upside down, steal our hearts and run away with them. Nothing will be ever the same for us.

Djingis was one of these larger than life pigsonalities. We are blessed when we meet one and heart-broken when they leave us, not rarely all too soon. It is like they know that they haven't got much time so they live their lives so much more intensively.

You have done your utmost to give him the happiest of lives and the freedom to be himself to the fullest. Unfortunately, there are health issues that are beyond a vet's capabilities - especially when it comes to guinea pigs. You have certainly tried you utmost, and so has your vet.

Djingis will always hold your heart to ransom and will live on in your memories. He will come to you in the darkest of times to make you smile when you call him in order to remind you of your best times, of love, hope and life itself; once you have eventually got over the very real massive pain around the huge hole he leaves in your daily life since he's taken the fairy dust with him when he left for the Bridge...

I have been blessed to have met another one of these special piggies for three most magic but short years. Even 20 years on my Minx has been there to remind me of all the blessings in my life that I carry with me in my own heart to comfort me and to give me strength in the most challenging of circumstances by me trying to live life her way: making the now my world and turning every new day into an adventure. And smile at my precious memories of their quirks and adventures. That is the last and most wonderful gift of all that these one-off piggies leave you.

Djingis will always be a part of you, of who you have become and of who you can become.

My thoughts are with you.

I'm so happy you exist and give us so much of your wisdom and kind words on this forum. Right now I'm very angry because its so unfair that Djingis life was so short, but reading your words makes it a bit easier to think he really lived and loved hard these two years.

The vet was so sorry he cant explain why so many pigs get these diseases, and I'm with him. I lost two boys to dental and I want to understand why it happens and I hope we can do something different in the future. Its so scary they get so bad in just a couple of weeks and then has to leave us, perfectly healthy in all other ways. Djingis lost his litter brother before he moved in, I didnt ask what went wrong but now I can guess. That fellow didnt even turn two.

I'm very happy to have my Kongo to ease some sadness. Today he helps me clean and fix his cage. That means slave cleans, Kongo runs towards the kitchen. Something Djingis thought him

When they reach a certain age you start to mentally prepare, but when they are so young its such a shock. We just started our crazy journey together. I always loved troublemakers but Djingis really was more than I could ever wish for! I'm so happy we trained on cuddles and that he started to like it and to hand out with me. I was so happy for the short time he and Kongo could share a cage and that he didnt started to dislike Kongo after Kongo messed up. They we're good neighbours even though Kongo is socially awkward.

I'm so glad Pino is okay and I hope you get many happy years with him, he's just gorgeous

Sorry for your loss. That was a lovely tribute to Djingis Kahn. He lived his life to the fullest. Probably fitting more in the 2 years than some can fit into 100. He knew he was loved. Sleep tight handsome Djingis Kahn x
