Do guinea pigs dream?

Well - as the title says really!

I've moved Jeff's cage into the front room over the last few days as I've been packing up stuff in my room. Because he's in the front room (and taken to sleeping in his hay rolleyes) I've seen him sleeping, whereas normally I wouldnt.

Aside a few "omg hes dead!" moments, he seems to dream when he's asleep? He certainly has REM sleep and does little twitchy things with his feet like a dog would.

So.... Do piggies dream?

Although i cannot confirm, one of my piggies doesn exactly the same thing! hes always twitching in his sleep and sometimes, its like his dream has woken him up abruptly! Hehe. The other sleeps like a log... Literally! never moving. Whos knows eh.

mine probably has dreams where el slaveio (aka ME) comes home with baskets and baskets of fruit and veg.....then commands more all from the comfort of his arm chair....
