Hello chums. So I have two lovely lady pigs both very different personalities. Pickles is a cuddly type where as Ginger is more reserved. I get them out onto my bed when I get him from work to give them their veg treats. Pickles usually cuddles up to me and Ginger does her own thing. But last night Ginger got inquisitive and wandered up to my face and stated nibbling my nose and licking my cheek, things Pickles normally does. Well, on seeing this Pickles dropped her tomato and ran up and barged her way in between my fave and Ginger, and stayed there making gentle wheeking sounds! Was she jealous?! Sounds nuts but can guinea pigs feel jealous do you think? Anyone else have similar scenarios?

Pickles getting jealous

We used to have a little piggy called Ivy, who loved to be cuddled up in our arms, and would make little murmuring contented noises. Anyway, she didn't think much of us cuddling her cage mate Flora at the same time, and would give Flora little nips, and just generally give the impression of saying "hey, they're my slaves, you're not having any of the attention, go away!" Poor old Flora!

I do think that if you've got a piggy who particularly enjoys human interaction, then they may get jealous of another pig trying to muscle in. After all, it's each pig to him / herself where food is concerned, so I suppose cuddles wouldn't be any different!

Love the cute pictures!

I think this is entirely possible.
One of our pigs (Ruby) adores my daughter.
During lap time she will sit on her shoulder, and if any other pigs try to sit on my daughters lap Ruby will chatter at them, and if they get too close she will climb down, nip at them, and then climb back onto my daughter's shoulder.
If Ruby is on some elses lap (like mine) she has no problem sharing me with the other pigs.
For some reason she is just extremely possessive of my daughter.

I think your piggies are gorgeous, and I love that they are all possessive of you.

Yes they can get jealous, I've experienced it. It's normally if I have more than one on my lap and if one hand isn't quite getting the tickle in the right spot - I soon know about it.
