I have 2 gorgeous rescued guinea pigs, Merlin and Billy.

I'm really concerned as Billy has what looks like a wart on his right ear....do guinea pigs get them as none of my previous boys had them. He's still eating, drinking and being naughty but just really worried as I lost a guinea pig to cancer.

I would attach a picture but unsure of how to.

Thank you for any help.

Guinea pigs do infact get warts, my 7 year old sow has 2. They are usually harmless and stop growing after a while. However it is best you have it checked by a vet just to confirm that it is indeed a wart x

Thank you Adelle....

I'mtaking him to the vets but here's a pic of Billy (gorgeous little chap) with his ear. Does it look like a wart?

Hes Beautiful! It looks like a wart/pimple of some sort but sometimes ticks can look like this. If its a tick it will likely increase in size overnight and become a darker colour. If its a warr it shouldnt change size but Best to have it checked by the vet :-)
