This is Star who I got from Nikki! His hair just keeps getting longer and longer. It's about 8 inches long now! Amazingly he never pees on it either! :))He lets me brush it and he never makes a fuss! It's just getting quite wild now though.

What do you all think?

Maybe just a trim, so that it doesn't drag on the floor, but other than that I wouldn't, looks so stunning.x)x)x)

I have no experience on long haired guinea pigs but that is one gorgeous boy. I love his mad long hair! He must be some poser, if he can manage not to wee on it - that must take some professional experience. :)

my bethy with long hair gets knotted every second so i try to keep her hair as short as possible so her urine doesn't burn her. i think he just should be comfy, maybe trim his bangs/fringe so he can see and trim any hair that could get in his way! as soon as i saw the photo i knew it was star (before i read what you put), so it'd be a change to cut it so much that he looks like another piggie as he's so distinctive

awwww he is such a cutie. I trim mine but only because I'm not around that much to brush them, one day I will let them grow their hair out long and I can see which one he gets it from! although its probably both

Gorgeous chap! x)

I don't like to take much length of my long haired girlies, I like it so it just touches the floor. With Tuppy I trimmed once every 2-3 months at most, so will probably do the same with Sophia and Delilah. I do keep the hair round their tummies/bum/genitals short though, and their legs, just for ease of checking for problems etc.

Oh, please don't give him an army cut, he's stunning! Especially as he's sussed out how to keep his hair untangled!

He reminds so much of my childhood piggies. We only trimmed the back and any (rare) tangles!

No I really can't see Star in the army! I think a slight trim is all that's needed. His friend Giovanni is very stunning too! Will get pics of them together!
