Do piggies have control over popcorning and zoomies? It doesn’t look like mine do

It’s the best thing ever. I could sit and watch happy piggies all day.

Do they have control over it? Mainly the popcorning. Like do they stand there and think ‘ooooh I’m so happy I’m gonna jump up and wiggle around in the air’ 😂

They are so funny when they do it aren’t they!?! I think they have a degree of control but depending on how enthusiastic they are, it can sometimes be a little OTT! I thought one of mine was having a seizure but he was just popcorning! Mine tend to do it when I spot clean and straighten everything up in their cage (then they move it back to how they like it!) and when they’re in their play pen, though not so much these days as they’re getting a bit older and mellowing out!

Gundham goes wild during spot cleaning too. While spud just stands back and looks confused by his excitement. It's my favourite thing he even tries to steal the dust pan and brush occasionally. As an autistic adult that claps their hands or flapps their hands when excited I like to think it's a bit like that. I can try not to if it's not appropriate but if i don't care about looking normal it just feels right and sometimes my hands just go to clap before my brain knows anything about it.

I’ve always wondered if they have any control over it! Mine always seem to look VERY surprised after they've popcorned about 🤣 🤣

Can confirm as an adult who is autistic too! So I always thought the popcorning was just a release of built up happy energy. I don’t clap my hands, but I do get up suddenly and have to walk, or go for a run, so I always thought it was kinda similar to zoomies!

This is my Luigi all over! As an epileptic (who has seen others have seizures loads as a support worker for years) I genuinely thought my Gigi was having a seizure the first time! On his side after shaking his butt and popcorning in a tunnel, on his side with legs flailing, making his mad noises! :yikes:But up he jumped and carried on the humpy dance to his ladies! XD Two ladies, one Gigi Humpalot and too much excitement in his little head at times I think! Thankfully he’s a bit of a calmer boy these days after the girls sorted him out!:))

I don’t think they can as my boar used to accidentally bump into walls If they were in the way. He would shake it off and continue :))
I don’t think he’s willingly choosing to bump into the wall.
