I didn't know if this went in behaviour or housing, sorry if it's in the wrong place. I have a hutch that one of my boars is now living in, and I am moving him into a different hutch, then extending his old hutch with some C&C grids to make it bigger, then moving my 4 sows in. I would obviously clean it out thoroughly and use a hutch spray, but would the sows fight over the boar if it smelt like him? The sows have lived together before but have been seperated because their wasn't enough space for them all in one hutch but by extending one of the old hutches by 3 or 4 grids I'm quite sure it will be big enough for the 4 of them.

I'm inclined to think not, some sows if living WITH a boar can became possesive over what they see as "their man" but i've not had sows fight with one another if they've smelled another boar wether he's been neutered or not :)
