Do sows have grease glands?

This sounds like a stupid question, as we always associate grease glands with boars, but one of my sows seems to have a build up of wax just like you'd see on a boar. And yes, before anyone asks - she's definitely a she! Do sows have them too? Is it to do with hormones? She's always been very aggressive and dominant, so I was wondering if it's linked to testosterone or similar?

Yes,they do! Hopperhaven noticed my beth's is especially mucky and thinks it could be down to polycystic ovaries! She displays boarish behaviour too, sounds like your sow may have the same hon x

I did wonder this too :{ Peggy pig seems to have one and she is a right rumbly little madam, infact she rumbles every day and apart from her mummy Poppy the other girls don't like her I've always wondered whether she has a hormonal problem.
