I have two boys that are getting neutered as we speak and two girls, a mom and her baby. I am obviously getting the boys fixed because the female ended up pregnant. My question is once my boys come home can I put them in the same cage as the girls or do I have to wait a certain amount of time before putting them all together?

We usually wait 6 weeks after the males have been neutered before allowing them to go in with females.

They can still get the female pregnant upto 4-6 weeks after being neutered.

In can take a while for the sperm to work its way out of their system for good, so 6 weeks is an excellent timescale. Unfortunately some vets still advise leaving only one or two weeks before pairing the newly neutered male with females, but this is far too short a time.

How did the surgery go, are the boys home and settled?

Wishing your boys all the best for the op and a quick recovery.
Are you going to have each with a girl afterwards?

They need to be apart for at least 4, ideally 6 weeks.

Please line their hutch/catch with towels when they come back from the vet, so nothing can get stuck/poke those fresh wounds. It is also a lot easier to see whether there has been some bleeding. Some boys like to pull on their sutures.
