I do! :) I'm not sure what I'm going to buy him - maybe a hammock, some natural treats, a few toys he'll like and then he can have extra veg on Christmas day too.

They deserve presents too! :)

I do as well.
It is usually treats that hang on the side of the hutch door (which I have to say sometimes don't get eaten rolleyes) but this year it will probably with Natural Treats as they have some great stuff in their range at the moment.
Maybe a parsley bell, perhaps?

I buy them double the amount of veggies. Having fallen into the trap of buying them treats and them not touching them I have found buying more veggies makes them go wild! rolleyes :))

Pampered Piggies do a Christmas box full of goodies for the pigs! But I agree with S&T, mine would prefer good veg any day! They do get extra veg on Christmas day though rolleyes

40 pigs is a lot of stockings to hang by the fireplace!

I've got mine a Christmas box from Pampered Piggies to share - might also splash out on some of the more expensive veg which they wouldn't normally get too.

lavenderjade - so true!

i have got them the christmas box from pampered piggies and will get them their fav veg for the day.

Yep mine get presents. 2 or 3 each :)) Need to start looking for presents for this year. I normaly get them dandilion hay ect. They all get out to run around the house for an hour aswell but not this year because we have girls aswell plus a rabbit aswell as the boys. So will be in bigger runs instead. They get loads of veg too because mum goes round every supermarket looking for bargins on Xmas Eve.

Plenty for my lot too. I hope to get a 22kg box of Oxbow Orchard Grass at least. If my finances straighten out by Christmas (I should be so lucky...) I want to kit out the cages with a completely wooden/nature theme (wooden houses, wooden toys, extra hay etc.) and some new sets of patterned fleece.

My mum has made them two sets of cuddlecups (total 17 - two per pig and one for Charlie's keepsake box to rest in), one set is chocolate brown swirls with teddy fleece inside, the other set is St Patricks Day Snoopy pattern with cream fleece inside!

I would also like to stock up on some Naturals treats...enough to last through 2009 ideally!

I would be truly happy if the only presents I got were for the pigs. Seriously!

Most of MY presents are for my piggies! :))
I'm the same mary, i've asked everyone for piggy bits and pieces for xmas, but i'll be buying them some new towels and fleece and some of those heat pads for christmas, though they'll probab;y recieve them before, then i'll feel guilty they havent got anything, so i'll get them something else! i'm already planning their birthday cakes made out of veggies!! rolleyesrolleyesrolleyesrolleyes

Haha Sophie I agree! Having 14 I just can't run to buying gifts for them all but the extra veg goes down very well. I also have a thing about not giving in to commercialisation. So going into pets at home and seeing calanders for animals and things like that I simly refuse to buy.

They are animals who don't know what day it is! :x That doesn't mean they don't get spoilt with veggies and we celebrate birthdays as well. Any excuse for a carrot cake party! :(|)

I don't buy mine presents either, They're spoilt all year round anyway

Of course i'm buying my piggies pressies! :)) I'm getting them one of these natural bordom breakers christmas shockings from Pets At Home to share.

For my hamster i am getting her one of those parsley bells from P&H. This should keep her busy and stop her chewing her bars on her cage. :^-

I buy ALL my pets presents for birthdays and christmas :)) It was the gerbils birthday last month and they had a cheese house to chew. The piggies birthday is at the end of the month and I have no idea what to buy them :o

I'm always buying my 2 prezzies but I'm going to order them a bed each from hammocky hammocks for Christmas..I'm just waiting to see what designs they've got as they're having problems with their internet site at the mo

I spoil mine all year round, my OH says they eat better than he does.

But I have got them a special christmas dinner and pudding from pampered piggies, and I will get them some nice veg and maybe some natural treats.

hmm I must starting thinking about pressies. I think my youngest would like a hammock. But ALL of them would prefer food to anything definitely!

They go mad for a whole organic carrot with all the green top still on. So maybe I'll get a bunch of those at Christmas.

I'd like to get some of that dandilion hay - where do you get that from?!

lol you know that parsley bell i said i was going to get my hamster for christmas in my other post? well i was in P&H today and i just realised how big they are LOL, they are bigger than Honey :)) so i think i'll be getting her something else.
But the christmas shocking i will still be getting for my guinea pigs to share :)

Why not grow your own pressie for the pigs? I'm sure it's not too late for a bit of indoor seed sowing. Galens Garden and Planet Guinea have seeds available.

All my piggies, including the ones here at the rescue will get some home grown hay.

I left a large patch of grass to just grow and in July cut it down, left it for 5 days to dry out in the sunshine (!) and then put it in two sacks and hung it up in the shed to cure. It smells absolutely lovely, is a lovely colour too and should be enough for everyone to have a huge handful on Christmas Day. Best of all it is free!

Well i had planned on getting them a big wooden house to share for when they're out in their run but were having a big problem with fighting at the moment and only have 1 run for 4 piggies, 3 who dont get on.

So I'm thinking of getting a knot knibbler each well for each cage, a hammock and not sure what else but of course they'll get extra veg too
