...what past pigs would make of present situations?

Every time I tweak the cage I wonder what my three past piggies would have made of it. Tonight, my mum and I are adjusting the hay racks and hay trays slightly. For the first time, my pigs have a "column hay rack" so they don't pull hay down all over themselves. I can just see Charlie, Tuppy and Lottie sat munching from the hay column and I often think about what they would make of the current 8x5 setup, how they would have liked the new fleece, how they would have gone crazy over my complete changeover to Oxbow hay (especially after mentioning it to them several times for several years!).

Do you ever wonder?

well, since this is my first time with guinea pigs, no. but if i was in your situation, i bet i would. at least your present piggies are living the life.:)

Firstly, Minx and Mischief would have to get over the fact that I have a resident male now... a far more balanced diet... a slightly bigger cage (though I still have theirs!), and the fridge has moved and is far bigger now (with extra space for piggy veg).

And what Minx would think if she came face to face with Taffy, who could be her sister, I don't know! Or think of five guinea pigs to share her patch...?

I do that too.

Punky died at the beginning of this month, we had just moved house, but the piggies were in cages for a week while we got their shed moved and put up again, Punky never did move back in.

I wonder what he would have thought of the new shed set up, the huge long cardboard tubes I've just put in, where he would have choosen as his fav spot.

Poor wee man, i miss him :(

I often think about Louie and how he'd enjoy living the life my piggies do.

I often think about how him and Arnold would have probly hit it off. They seem very compatible.

It's odd. I think about it quite alot.

I miss him so much 8...

what would Boris think
well seeing he was a grumpy character i think his first line would be
"hmmm food deliverer why are there 8 soon to be 10 more boys?"
"where is my damn sweetcorn & Pak choy?"
"mums going pig crazy i wish i was still here to beat up all my brothers"

i miss him so much
8...8...8...8...

I always think about my piggies past, and what they'd think about stuff. Also whether they would get on with the piggies I have now etc and who would be Top Pig! :))

Bonnie - did I get the number right? You're not at it AGAIN?!

I miss all my past piggies; and with Dizzy gone there is no link between my first lot and my new lot anymore - it's a very strange and slightly upsetting feeling!

But with Taffy and Tegan coming soon, it feels like the dawn of a new era to come; I'm just feeling very much in between right now, vaccillating so much between sorrow and joy...

Taffy and Tegan will be a fresh start and will bring some new personalityd to your bunch,no wonder your excited, the link is hard as my original pigs are Boris,Smokey and Bandit and each time i look at Smokey and Bandit i think of Boris.
Yes do you remember Blade and Raja i was telling you about well they were meant to come here and then little Windsor popped up and he needed a friend that was Bonded thats why i got Cooper, so Blade and Raja were put on hold,Tony said we can pick them up after we have moved x

So you got something more to look forward to as well! How are you going to call your new home: "Camp Cavy" or "Bonnie's Ark"? :p:p:p

I have Taffy to come, who looks like she could be Minx' sister, and Nerys, who happens to have the same colours as Dizzy... Just COMPLETELY different characters!

i still think its amazing how majority of your piggies share the same colours they could all be one cute little family if they werent different breeds.

well currently its called bonnies farm lol,i have tried to slow down on the other pets as my piggy obsession and numbers keep growing, strange that patty is staying now too so i have 4 dogsmallethead, awww well the way i see it i am giving them all a nice life so why not lol,the thing I'm feeling weird about is getting a 4-5 bedroom house with the only people being Ava,tony and myself lol

I didn't know Punky died. I'm so sorry Danni. xx

Punky did well for a special needs piggie, he was 2 years old when he died.

His liver and pancreas never did work normally, and the vet was never able to treat them with anything other then antibiotics and anti-enflammatories (Darnit, can't spell that) on the occasions when his weight dropped.

Strange thing was that I woke up at 5am one morning - hadn't set my alarm, and don't normally wake til about 8am. I went to check him, he had died - just. he was still warm and his body was soft and floppy, we think we just missed him taking his last breath by minutes. it felt to me like he wanted a cuddle before he left. I don't know how long the brain is conscious after the last breath, but i like to think he could feel me holding him. :(

Time to look for happier threads i think.
