do you feed your guinea pigs vegatables twice a day like once in the morning once in the evening? or just once

Twice, small bowlful of the morning 3 of thier five a day, and a small bowl full on the evening the other two of five a day:)

They'll get a mix of salad leaves with tomatoes, peppers and apple.

Then on the night salad leaves with kale and carrot :)

I fill my piggies bowls up once per day, but that lasts them all day, I do feed veggies throughout the day though (I wasnt sure if you was counting veggies so I only voted once) xx

Mine have fresh mix and pellets once a day normally when they are cleaned out, They are cleaned out every evening so they have fresh hay/ forage then and a top up in the morning. Veggies are 3 times a day- breakfast, when they are let out for floor time then a small amount of lettuce and crunchy stuff (carrots, corn etc) at bed time

i am gonna feed them

pepper
kale
romanie lettcue
cucumber
baby carrots
tomato

apple

Just once. They get all their veggies in the morning and that's what they are used to but when I have them out for lap time they get a wee bit more.

i was giving them there evening veggies and they made wheeky nosies droolx) but still hiding:aLJFBQ00151070111C:

Haha how thick do I feel, you were asking about veggies ") I do apologize I have demonic toddler shouting down my ear. xx

I tend to feed mine in the morning.

Sometimes I will give them just pellets and veggies in the afternoon and other times they just get pellets and veggies together.

If their bowl is getting a little empty I do top it up

Rose & Martha have some fresh green stuff for breakfast, or they'd shriek the house down!

Then mid afternoon they kick off again and get a mixed salad.

If I find extra dandelions or some juicy grass in the day they get that as well.

As they are only coming up to 6 months now they get unlimited pellets, which I'll be tapering off soon. I used to feed them veg twice a day but they wouldn't eat it all and it was going to waste, so now I give them it all in the evening and they munch it down in no time. They are a lot more active in the evening so I guess that's why. When I have them out they get a special treat by way of a bribe to like me lol :))

I feed mine 3 times. In the morning (8am ish) they get dry food and hay, at tea time (5pm) they get their veg and at night (9pm) they get dried grass and more hay.

I feed mine pellets in the morning and top up their fresh hay and then veg in the evening xx

pellets and hay in the morning and veggies in the evening

My lot used to get all their veggies at tea-time, but I have recently started to give them some in the morning too, usually large greens leaves or carrots (hoping it'll keep them busy for a while, but secretly knowing it'll all be gone by the time my car is off the drive! rolleyes )

The also get pellets and hay in the morning and more hay in the evening if it's all gone

At this time of year, they usually go on the lawn for an hour or get a handful (or two) of fresh grass too :)

Before I got to work the pigs get small amount of nuggets and their veggies along with hay and same at about 6. Then before I got to bed they get a top up of hay and normally a wee treat mayb parsley or corriander :)

We feed veggies twice a day. Hay is unlimited and pellets are given morning and night. However we still get yelled at for more :(|)

I feed veggies twice a day. I wouldn't be able to change the routine as they'd scream the house down! Breakie and dinner veggies. Pellet bowls filled in the morning and hay. Then hay refilled at dinner/bed time too.

Mine get pellets and a mixed salad in the morning (cucumber, celery, carrot, apple and baby corn) and hay and more veg (kale or brocolli) in the evening.

I feed twice a day, in the morning and the evening.

But as my piggies are free roaming during the day, they get a "night night tidbit" of cucumber and celery to make sure that all come into the cage for the night! Much easier and more effective than hunting down piggies...

My lot get their complete food fed in the morning.. this usually last untill the next morning... in the morning they also get their mixed veg selection and hay then tea time they get a little something either.. more veg, grass or apple leaves :)) but hay is always available... i just top up or give more the next day

In the morning they have some leafies as brekkie, plus their pellets and hay, then when i get home from work they'll have a small handful of mixed lettuce, then their main veggies are served at 9pm after they've come up for playtime, again they get smaller bowl of pellets only but lots of hay :)

Yep, when I do the morning spot clean, I also refill pellets (if needed), top up the hay and give half of their daily ration of fresh veg and a pile of freshly cut grass.

Then they get the other half of their veg and loads more fresh grass in the evening, after I've done the proper clean out of the cage.
