As a follow on from this post..... http://www.theguineapigforum.co.uk/index.php?topic=5570.0

It as been suggested that I illustrate a book...only problem is, i can't write! So if anyone has a story, or would like to write one that you think could be suitable as a childrens book, please let me know. All illustrations will be done by me..i shall post a quick few to let you know what the look like.
It would be good if it was about guinea pigs, but any animal would be great also....Please remember it must be a short story, suitable for younger children.

I know DebbieR and katieP have already suggested great ideas, anyone got anymore?

hehe it prob wont be any good but it wont hurt to try :)
The cards are a great idea by the way ;D

your pics are gorgeous, my hay man whos a farmer always says to me you should write a book about your pig adventures not very happy days at the moment though :'(

Your pigtures are very sweet :)

Unfortunately I can't see them going with Gothic fantasy and literary fiction!

Good luck though!

Bunny pictures too! Fab! I will try and write some piggy adventures for children - it'll be fun for me, and with your pictures it will turn a story into a charming little tale for kids!

Give me a couple of weeks..

I have been thinking for a while about writing a book about The Adventures of Bertie Handbag. A while back I also started writing a story about a rabbit and guinea pig called Emily and the Ninnipig.

I shall have to get my writing cap on. I absolutely love your illustrations and think they would be perfect for a children's book. You have such a talent!

I wrote about 3 chapters but should really finish it off. Shall have to dig out some pics of the original Emilly and Ninnipig to scan in and post on here :)

Thank you to both katiep and alexr, i'm sure your stories will be wonderful, i look forward to reading them :)

Alex have you thought anymore about putting 'The Adventures Of Bertie Handbag' on paper? it sounds great!

I'm going to have a think over the weekend for some ideas for Bertie Handbag's story. :)

I wouldn't mind helping you write a story! I really enjoy writing! How long were you aiming the story to be?

I'm just looking for it to be long enough for a childs bedtime story, say about 20 pages with perhaps a couple of sentences on each page!

Thank you for all your help guys :)

I have written a children's book that I would love to get published.
Its about some fairies and a baby - do you fancy having a go at that?
I could send it to you if you were interested ::)

I'd love to, but i can't draw poeple :(

I was thinking my book would be about the length and complexity of Olga Da Polga. Although with lots of guinea pigs in rather than one. Would very much like illustrations every few pages. Would this be OK Jeanette or did you have a shorter book in mind?

Hmm, I know Dobbin and Twinkle and I recognise your pictures, they are amazing!
