i just wondered what everyone prefers/thinks is cuter? As with most animals everyone prefers them as babies (ie puppies and kittens) but with guinea pigs I personally much prefer them bigger!

Babies are cute, but there much harder work, like Pax the ASBO grease pig, also the thing with them is, you have to get past that year stage...adults have bigger personalities too!

The plus side with babies though is that you see their personality develop over time and you get to spend more time with them but I agree that a fully grown adult with a full pigsnality is amazing and winning their trust when they are older is so rewarding

Lovely to watch when they are little with a of the zoomies and they look so cute. However, I love squishing my big fat boys. And they are so much more trusting and tame now - wouldn't change them for the world!

Love babies and so pleased that I managed to have one with Widget as i wanted to experience it... however adult piggies have got the full grown personality which I adore so much so agree with all you guys above :)

They're adorable as babies and I always take tons of pictures as babies because it goes by so fast and they are so adorable, but in terms of personality, I prefer it when they are old enough to have mellowed out and their personalities have developed and they are not as skittish or fearful. We've had Hadley about two months now and she was about 3 months old when we got her, and already she is twice the size but MUCH more manageable... and I prefer manageable! LOL!

I agree with all of the above. Baby pigs are gorgeous but they are soooo flighty.

It was something of a shock to start again with my current pair as youngsters after being used to my two old boys. Silly things, like opening the hutch door and knowing my old chaps would be pleased to see me, but who wouldn't attempt to dive out of the front of the hutch when I went to feed them.

I like them at all stages. Oldies who know who they are and really appreciate the love and care they get, adults who are past the teenage dramas and every now and then a youngster (or like last year, three) to provide some fun and games - they all bring something different.

Babies are cute as sin but I prefer adults because they have so much more personality and are braver and you can interact and do more with them. =)

I must say I'm surprised at the results! I was expecting everyone to say babies..

I love it when they're young and everything is just so exciting for them. Popcorning and zooming all the time. But I also love when they're older and they learn to trust you. Plus when they get a little chunkier they're just so cute!

I would like either. But I know it is a lovely feeling when you know that the guinea pig begins to trust you. So that must mean I prefer adults.

Adults too, though I have the best of both worlds at the moment as Toffee is only about 4 months old and zooming about like a nutter. My older ones really trust me though.

I'm on a both vote too! Mini pigs are very cute to look at, and fun to watch when they're going nutty zooming.... but then you get the exhausting up and down of hormones which Wyatt seems to be stuck in a perpetual loop of! I also like something to hold on to so much prefer a cuddle with a big chunky pig!

My favourite type of guinea pig is an older sow. I love how relaxed about the world they become :)
