Well ive got a dog and 2 cats living next door ! My dog has already tried to eat my 2 guinea's when they came home ! And the cats next door are , well , always bringing dead birds into the next doors house ! I'm scared on what to do ! They need fresh air somtimes dont they !
Please help !

Can you get a pen or run with a roof? Mine are indoor pigs and they've hardly been out this summer because of all the wet weather. Is there a place in the house they could be safely let loose for half an hour or so? Mine get the run of the hallway. Fresh air is nice but I think it's more about getting out of the cage and having the room to have a good run about more than anything else. :)

I'm getting that but because of the bank holiday it isnt coming till friday :(

No, we've got foxes >:( >:( >:( >:(
We lost the last of our budgies when we first moved here because of foxes, scared one to death :'( and then the cheeky fox made just enough of a hole in the cage and got the other one :'( :'( >:( >:( >:( >:( >:( >:( >:(

Aw that's so sad about the budgies :( my cat got my neighbors budgie somehow from inside their house in it's cage 98) he just got it and braught it to me absolutely fine, should have seen the puzzled look on my neighbors face when i had to knock on his door and ask if that was his budgie, needless to say he got the cage fixed! Cats and foxes can be evil sometimes, that was ages ago and the budgie is still going strong! x

i put mine out, but i make my run out of boxes etc and it doest have a lid so I'm always out there with them.

my dog and cats are not a problem, my dog is like security and she even gets a sniff of a cat she goes mental for it lol

when i took my piggies round to my friends to play in the garden, my run has a net that you can fit over it to stop animals getting them, so i used that. i sat near them and supervised too as the neighbours cats were out, but everything went well and we had no probs. definately a good idea to get a run with a cover just in case O0

definatly have a cover over them outside, wouldn't trust cats let alone foxes.

cover them and peg down the cage put a little house in there too so they have some where to hide they will love it!

Mine used to go outside, but now I've moved house the garden's too over run and there's a million cats so it's not really a possability for a good while yet.

I'd say put them in a run with a cover and keep an eye on them. That way there's going to be some protection to save them until you give the predator a good old bash with the new harry potter book you're reading while watching them....or whatever you know....

Yep i let mine out for a run on the grass when I'm there to supervise as their are a few cats by me - i say he runs he just sits there and eats the grass ;D

he lives indoors with me now but use to live outside.

Mine used to live in a shed but are now all indoor guineas. I put them out when the weather is nice. I've got 5 girls, so 2 go in one run and 3 in another run. I've got 3 six month old brothers and have just finished their area. They've got a big hutch which is inside an aviary with a ramp down onto the grass. The aviary has got metal grids dug in all around and I've put heavy rocks around the edge in case a rat did manage to burrow down and get past the grids, they wouldn't be able to come up because of the rocks.

It's a shame if they can't go outside, guineas love it. I'm lucky that I've got 2 dogs who love the guineas and won't hurt them but nothing can get at the guineas anyway.

Mine go out in a metal run with metal roof and I don't put them out unless I am going to be at home all the time.

I can't, because I haven't got any garden. There's a bit of scrubby land but I don't think other tenents in the building would respect it if I cultivate it - it's already covered in fag ends and litter. Urgh.
They go outside when they holiday at my mum's though.
