Do you put your guineas out in their run when the grass is wet (from either dew or rain?) This is something I've tried to look up in books etc but never found an answer.

Just in case it's not good for them, I don't. If it's nice but the grass is wet they go on the patio (keep their claws down anyway! ;D) and I will put hay in there, also spoil them by picking grass and clover for them and they start squeaking when I start picking grass even if they can't see me :smitten: they are so sweet! I put newspaper in the run so they have the option of laying on it if they want to. (also lots of little houses/tubes/tunnels etc! It is a fun run)

So what do you do?

Wet grass isn't a good idea, so you have done right O0

I aways wait till the weather is nicer and the grass isn't so soggy! It's better for me, too :)

I've been keeping them off the wet grass but they've enjoyed the dry conditions recently. Today it has been drizzling a little so they will probably stay in unless it brightens and dries up significantly later.

I have over the last month been putting mine out but only approx 11ish when the sun as started to warm the ground, they never go out in the rain or wind and even when it is too hot they will only go out for about hors in the evening around 3.30 to about 6ish when the dew starts,

Sounds exactly what I've been doing too - in the morning the grass is dewy and it is stil cold.

Depends on the weather and what condition the ground is in. If the grass is slightly damp I will put them out for a little while (about half an hour) but if the grass is wet then they won't be put out. And like others I put them out at the warmer parts of the day. :)

If it is soaked then yes, then is a good chance that they could develop a health condition such as a respiratory infection, stomach upset/infection or pneumonia. I mean when it is just slightly damp. Remember to put them out in the warmer period of the day. O0

I don't tend to put them on wet or damp grass as once their coats get wet then everything sticks to it. Also I worry they might get poorly from the damp conditions.

If the grass is slightly damp (not really damp or wet), it is in the warmer parts of the day and the weather is O.K. then it is O.K. to put them out for a small period of time. :)
