do you think the nero 4 cage is big enough for 3 guinea pigs?

I have two girls at the moment in a nero 3 and seen the size of the nero 4 today in p@h, of course after mulling it over starting to think would'nt it be nice to add another girl (you know how it is! ::)).
Can't really accomadate a c&c cage at the moment as the housing is in the living room and our house is on the market so their cage needs to be easily moved into the garage when we have viewings (some people are'nt as in love with pigs as the rest of us 98)).

Nero 4 is 4x2 which is only suitable for 2 pigs. 5x2 would be suitable for 3 pigs. :)

I'm picking up a Nero 4 for my two on Wednesday - I had to buy a Nero 2 when I first adopted them because my P@H didn't have any Nero 3s in...typical! They told me that a Nero 3 would be big enough for them when they were older, but I've decided to give them the extra space of a 4 - as S&T says, 4x2 should be the minimum for 2 piggies.

At the risk of putting my neck on the line, it might be suitable IF the piggies were only really sleeping in it and they had room to run for the rest of the time. ?

My two aren't going to be big fat piggies, but I suppose you never can tell how big they'll end up. Mind you, being in Spain for three weeks and visiting a couple of pet shops has opened my eyes a little bit to the size of cages.... :tickedoff:

I have 2 boars that sleep in a Nero 3 only for a few hours per night. But now Pudsey and Eccles are getting huge they need more space so I'm going to set up a C&C next month. I can't believe how much they have grown. Pudsey who is 4 months 1 weeks is 975g and Eccles who is 3 months 1 week is 825g! They do get plenty of exercise, I'm just not happy with their sleeping arrangements. Can't wait to change it for them. :)
I have adapted the Nero 3 so they have an upstairs though, but still I always think that pigs love to run and popcorn and they can't do it while having their rest time.

I dont think getting a cager on the idea that they will only spend a few hours a day in there is a good idea, as if its cold outside, and they cant run inside, they get no excercise..and if in a cramped area together, tensions are likely to rise, and the last thing you want is piggies fighting...

Also 3 piggies means 3 pigloos...meaning there would be even less space for them to move :-\

I would only keep 2 in there tbh :)

You could do like some people have, and kinda put a run around the outside of the cage, and a little wooden bridge thing over the edge of the cage, so they have more space...(maybe someone can explain this better, I'm tired) ;D

I will probably wait for us to move to a new house then build a c&c cage, it's no use chucking money away is it?.

thats sounds like a better idea O0 c+cs are great and you can build one for 3 piggies for much cheaper than the cost of a nero 4 :)
