Do you use pine bedding?

Hello!

I am wanting to hear from anyone who uses untreated, kiln dried bedding.

I want to change over to it from fleece (too high maintenance). Aspen or other bedding like Carefresh = too expensive.

Generally, what us your experience with it? Is good at absorbing? Is it usually soft in texture compared to Aspen? How can you tell good quality?

And; is it safe?

I don't use it with my pigs, but I do use it with my hamster.

The only thing I would say is to be careful about dust.
Some batches can be very dusty, so find a supplier/brand you like and stick with that.
Also if possible look for 'dust extracted' bedding.
