Vabbit I approciate that you were just joking and that you've now said it's not something to joke about so thank you for that,
I just didn't want people who are struggling with self harm to see something like that on this forum and feel bad about them selves because of it.
Also emo and self harm aren't mutually exclusive, an Emo is generally someone who follows a certain fashion trend, many people who are 'Emo' do not self harm.
Where a self harmer is someone who deliberately harms themselves as a way to deal with intense emotional pain and frustration. Self harmer tend to be younger people but many older people also struggle.
I was a self harmer for many years and have lots of deep scars on my arms from it which will never go away,
I'm in a much better place now but i will admit your comment struck a nerve, and I can imagine it would have hurt someone like me when I was younger and in a lot of pain,
I would hope as a forum we would try to keep our site a place of happiness for everyone as our animals can help us get through tough situation
