... for sneezing?

I am sneezing a lot lately (hayfever) and every time I sneeze I hear loud rumbles coming from the pigs cage. I can understand if they are sleeping and I made them jump or woke them up but even if they are out and active, I get told off.

The amount I'm sneezing, I would have thought they'd got used to it by now

Mine rumble whenever they hear an unexpected and therefore scary noise.

Jingle chatters her teeth at me when I try to catch her. She is fine once on my lap.

Yes mine are exactly the same lol or if I'm playing some music they don't like ha ha

Yes if I sneeze. Or stretch my legs out (knees crack). And a whole host of other times. They're still getting used to the sounds of our home.

Mine hate hiccups. My other half hiccups frequently and each and every hiccup is met with rumbles from both my boys!

Podrick burrs at lots of random things. He doesn't like my boyfriend clicking the mouse on his pc.

When I asked my boyfriend this question he laughed and said Arnold gave him a proper telling off.

I'd recently moved in with boyfriend and we were house sharing so the pigs were in our room. I was sitting on the bed and Arnold was on a pillow. I was talking at him, like you do.

Boyfriend came in and Arnold turned around on the pillow and looked directly at him. He started to chatter his teeth at him and didn't stop even when he came up close to speak to him. He only stopped when he left the room and Arnold turned back round.

What a telling off!

Yes rumbles at sneezes- and also rumbles when a tap is turned on- probably because they think they're getting a bath!

Sneezing, keys jangling and any phone notifications get a grumble from the piggies in our house. Usually it's Mabel who objects most, but little Holly is also a grumbler. Poppy isn't bothered by much at all.

The only time I've noticed it is if I'm not quick enough with their pellets (I feed these by hand, and it takes me a while to get down on my old knees).

Not so much for sneezing but I have a horrible cold thing atm so if I cough (which I'm doing A LOT) or do anything out of the ordinary I get this feeling like someone's watching me... To find 9 eyes giving me a dirty look from across the room :))

Was doing poo patrol when I noticed Spock junior doing something potentially dangerous the other side of the room, so used my" serious" voice to try and stop it there and then
Result? the guinea pigs rumbled and scattered, Spock jnr totally ignored!

Teddy used to rumble with sneezes (and I usually said: hey, sometimes you do it too!), the doorbell, and keys jangling.
Of course, I learnt how to properly handle the keys so they made no sound :))

Mine used to rumble or scatter at sneezes but they seem to be a bit better these days. They still hate jangly keys though. Every time my husband gets the shed keys out of the drawer I hear:
very quiet jingle jangle (from a different room to the one the pigs are in)
frantically scattering pigs
husband sounding crestfallen: "sorry pigs".

I get muttered at for coughing etc. And the occasional teeth chattering if they think I'm going to pick them up.

All six of my guinea pigs tell me off at regular intervals

My OH got rumbled at for sneezing last night. Tim chatters at me every morning if the veg is not at the exact time he is expecting it and now he was taught Sophie to do it too.

Daisy had to have 2 weeks of antibiotics day and night so was picking her up twice a day. She grumbled and chattered at me as a warning not to pick her up. She continued to do this for a few days after she had finished her medicine every time I went anywhere near the hutch.

My Buddy rumbles at sneezing too! More recently he's started doing it when my husband swears at video games. It's awesome because it means I don't have to do it.
