Do your piggies like to munch on anything 'odd'?

I bet when you pop off to the fish & chip shop you don't expect to have to bring anything back for the piggy?

My Maki (see photo) LOVES batter!

She also likes to drink lemonade.


What do yours like to eat or drink?
 
Please try to avoid giving your guinea human foods and drinks, it contains fats and chemicals that can be toxic to your piggy! If you want to give them a treat, give them some lovely fresh veggies or small bits of fruit, far better than petshop 'treats' or junk food :)
 
I know its not healthy. We only leave her the scraps every couple of weeks.

I let her try the lemonade because she was pestering me for it. I only ever let her have it once because I was worried if she became addicted to the stuff she'd rot her teeth.

I just couldn't believe she actually enjoyed eating and drinking that stuff, all my other pigs would have turned their noses up at it!
 
My pigs are quite conservative when it comes to food, but I did have a hamster that liked dried squid (she pinched it off the table and also stuck her nose in some curry - I was astounded!)
 
my gucci used to like human food, i used to feed her inside due to having to syringe her food, and i had my tea plate down id had nachos for my tea so tortilla chips and cheese on the plate, little madam was up on the plate licking up the cheese and tucking into a tortilla chip when i re-entered the room with her food! lol

she also liked coffe, but she only ever had them when she managed to get to them..not through me giving her it!

id advise against giving her scraps every few weeks, all that grease cant be good from a chip shop
 
UMMM are you having us on?

You should never give your piggies batter nor any other human food and lemonade well thats just plain silly!
 
I must admit it isn't very wise to feed your guineas batter, it could cause them serious illness, I can't cope with lots of batter never mind my little piggies.
 
My rule is if they don't have it in the wild they don't have it at all. :) I hav a budgie that did like lemonade, it was wrong of me to give it to Joey but I was only a teen and didn't know any better.

I personally wouldn't do it now. Mine would turn their noses up at it. I agree that these foods in the long run would cause huge vet bills.

Guinea pigs don't nibble my faverite tops in the wild but Petal has taking a liking to mine ;D

I agreethough it's probably dangerous to there health feeding things like that, the only treat mine have ever got was an egg biscuit whcih they didn't eat anyway and a few pieces of excel apple pieces every oncein a while, other than that it's all natural fruit and veg O0
 
ROFL Kezza Cuzzy is always eating my jumpers, the rest don't bother he's a little nipper but I love him for it! :)

I've heard some people give stale bread, I wouldn't I also use the rule as if in doubt don't bother.
