My piggies, Meg and Kevin are just starting to get the hang of a tiny agility set my sister and I made for them. They have to go through a tunnel, "jump" over a little bar, then "jump" again through a hoop, and all to receive some lettuce at the end. Kevin was a little slower to get it, but now that she does she'll run through it and wait expectantly for her treat even when we weren't ready. It's so cute!

So, I was just curious as to if anyone else's piggy's knew any tricks and what they are?

Aww do you have any pictures?
It's not really a trick as such but Toast will meerkat when she wants a treat and it's so cute she knows it always works. She goes up on her back legs with her front paws dangling like a little meerkat and she knows this gets her a little bit of pepper or apple

Beans will come when I call her name, they get to run around the house except in the kitchen and when she chances her luck (she knows fine well that's were the food is kept) I just say "Beans" is a very stern voice and she'll waddle back to me :P

Nope, the only trick they know is wheeking super cutely to get some veggies :)
But I guess you could say that they trained me to bring food when they wheek. :D

that is awesome!

My little girl loves to 'meerkat' and her husboar tried to copy her but fell backwards on top of her knocking her down too. *shakes head* He looked very confused.

But three out of the 4 have a trick to chew the bars at exactly the time they hear me shift in bed every morning and every night as I'm about to go to bed. They have got the pattern down to a T and trained me to answer to it.

So I suppose they are the ones teaching me the tricks...

My boys can stand on their back legs for a treat and jump over stuff. They know their names and follow me when called. I tried to teach them how to spin but they weren't interested :D

If you put a cosy or one of their fleese houses in the run and call my life they run straight in to go to bed x

Awwww loving all the stories :love::love:

Onyx used to beg for food. I'd say 'up up' and she would beg (meerkat style) She could spin around too. Velvet tried her best to do 'up up' but was a bigger girl and all her quiff got in the way. She amazed me how she could run full pelt around their house and up the ramp even when she had her cataracts and became blind.
Duke was the master at climbing thru the pillows etc we'd put out to block him from reaching Sully. Sully could find a piece of food even a teeny left over piece anywheres even in floor time.

I've seen a few pigs run obstacle courses and always thought that would be fun to try to teach... unfortunately between a job and three kids I have never had much time to work on guinea pig training! Linney, one of my prior pigs, would popcorn on demand- if we said, "Popcorn! Popcorn!" in an excited voice, she would jump for us. Though honestly I have no idea if she recognized the word or if we were just winding her up using the 'treat' tone of voice. At any rate, it was cute!

MIndon't really have any tricks but If I say piggies they will all start squeaking they do that as well though when they hear a bag rustle or hear is come in the house as they know I usually come in with veg for them!
