The two boys had a falling out and bullying episode a few months ago. I've made a couple unsuccessful reintroductions since then. Then last weekend during their cage cleaning I put them in the temporary cage without the divider. After they ate the veggies there was a lot of teeth chattering and one flying lunge, but no biting. And after a while even the chattering died down. So now they are back in the big cage. They're not buddies but they seem to at least mostly tolerate each other. I'm still watching for signs of another falling out, but so far so good.

UPDATE: The boys seem to be settling in to their new normal. I'm not sure which boar is the dominant pig or even if there is one. Oti has the more aggressive personality (relatively, he's not all that aggressive). But Dobbins is a very big boy who is much bigger and stronger, and he's figured out that Oti can't actually push him around. I suspect this realization was the cause of their previous falling out. But Dobbins is a very gentle soul who just doesn't have it in his heart to boss others around. So there might actually be a stalemate in the struggle for dominance.

But things have actually been mostly peaceful. An occasional game of "whose nose is higher", some teeth chattering, but even that has died down. They were spending most of the time at opposite ends of the cage (6x2 C&C, plenty of room), but lately they've been resting a little closer to the middle. Veggie time happens in the center of the cage, and there's no fighting then. They seem to have settled into a peaceful co-existence.

Aw, that’s great news that they have settled back together. Boys will be boys, and can be a pain in the bum sometimes though!
