There are lots of lovely looking dock leaves (that you use to get rid of nettle stings) near our house. Can I give them to the pigs to eat?

I have been told before that dock leaves cannot be fed to pigs, but nettles can if dried.

Maryh told me about dock leaves being a no no and Karen did too. I have loads near me too, so its a shame :(

Nope me neither, I've loads of different things in my garden but I don't know what they are. :)

I feed mine every morning with a touch of grass a spinkle of dandelion leaves a smigen of plantain and some chickweed and not to mention a little bit of clover. :D :D I was told by someone a long time ago not to give Dock leaves,
can't remember why though. :-\ :-\
Do pinnies like pineapple & plums, anyone know?

Plums are fine - a bit watery so probably not too much of them. As for pineapple, I once tried them with it - the flesh and the core and they weren't interested. Also it is rather acidic so once again, only occassionally if they do like it.

I have been told not to feed the mature thick leaf but the younger leaves are ok.

No, dock leaves are not recommended. However, they do love clover, plantain, dandelions and sow thistles.
