Can guinea pigs eat dock?

We have loads growing in our garden (my dad planted it a few years ago) and my rabbits and guinea pigs always try to nibble it, I was wondering if they could have some?

It's safe for humans, my mum makes soup out of it!

I'm no expert, so don't take my word for it, and please someone correct me if I'm wrong…

But I've read that fresh young dock leaves are OK, but older leaves are possibly toxic to piggies.

I personally wouldn't risk feeding them to my piggies, but like I said please correct me if someone knows better!

That's what I read too, I think it's safe until it starts flowering but I don't want to feed it to my piggies until I'm certain.
