Molly has lost a lot of weight, you may have seen my other threads. The vet has ruled out a lump, her teeth are fine, her urine test showed it wasn't diabetes and theres a bit of a question mark whether it could be her kidneys.

The only other thing is if she needs worming. The vet didn't suggest worming but when I mentioned it (for the third time) she said we could if we wanted to but she would have thought the droppings would be loose? Can anyone confirm this or offer any other advice?

Thank you

i think sometimes they do, and sometimes it's undetectible. it can cause weight loss :-\ here's a good article about worming from GG, it may help you. i think it would be worth worming, but thats just me, your the one that knows your piggie the best O0 (hugs) hope you get to the bottom of it :smitten: :smitten: :smitten:

Thanks Cavy Love, where will I find the article please? :)

I have purchased enough wormer to do all 5 pigs (vet said this would be best), once a day for 5 days . . . they were soooo good having their medicine the little darlings,I thought it was going to be a right performance but it was really easy :smitten: :smitten:

oh duh! :~D sorry! thought i put the link in! ::) i really wonder about my head! ;D here it is, well if i remember this time! ;D

OMG! i'm seriously worried about my head! ::) ;D maybe i have little piggies running round up there LOL! it's completely frazzled! xx0

Gps with worms will eat a lot more than normal and still lose weight. There is possible alternating soft and normal pellets. You have done the right thing in worming them, just to rule this out.Personally I would only have wormed the gp that is losing weight, but that is just me,I am very cautious about giving drugs to gps.,and anthelmintics are strong drugs.
