....... like to have his/her things up high?

I have found that sweets would rather have his things higher then lower if they're low he shows little to no interest in them but as soon as they get moved higher they are the funnest thing in the cage.

Anyone elses pigs like this?

I noticed the opposite strangely.

When I was out, my parents took my C&C cage apart and moved the guinea pigs into the spare room in their old (and may I say much smaller cages). I was quite angry but there was nothing I can do as I live in their house and I noticed they had tied their hay feeders up by some rubber. I noticed that their hay wasn't going down at all.

I eventually cut it down 2 days later after worrying and set it on the floor and now the hays halfway gone within one day like usual. Very strange all four did it.

Piggies are very much individualists with very different preferences...

You have the lazy bums who want everything kind of just fall into the mouth please, the ones who like the high life and discoveries, and then the diggers and the interior redecorators.

My girls dont necessarily like tall things but they like being tall. They always put their paws up on things to say hello or ask for veggies and Rio likes jumping up on top of things, stretching her head up and having a good look around (she's only little, bless her)

The best thing is his hay roller being up high he stands up on it and will spinn it high speed and as soon as a piece of hay hits his lip he quickly bites it and pulls it out then spins again, it's like a game for him lol I also have noticed he likes to be up high so there is a shelf in his cage that he hops up on all the time.

Marmite especially seems to like being high up. If there's a box or hidey house, there's a good chance she'll sit ON it, rather than IN it!

And now you mention it, most of the time they do seem to like hay up in racks..

Similarly I guess, all six seem to like the top level of their hutch, even though it's the smallest (it's in the roof apex). I'll often find all six up there even though they've got another two full levels of floor space to play in! All with boxes, food hidey houses and hay... rolleyes

I'm sure my Pumpkin's actually afraid of heights! She can't stand being carried around, unless her head is hidden right under my chin, she's a bit of a wimp :))
