...actually like courgette?!

I tried sneaking some in with my pigs veggies last night (just the end pieces of one that I used for my dinner, I like courgette!) and it's remained untouched. Well, I lie, there is one nibble mark in each piece! Same as every other time I've offered it to them!

So, on my "whee refuse to eat" list, for all the pigs (not even one or two who dislike it!) is courgette, pumpkin and asparagus! Other than that, they ain't fussy!

Mine will pick at them, def not the fave veggy, but when I go back there will be bits of half eaten courgette.

Charlie and Kenny always eat it but it's not a favourite. If I have mint or kiwi for them, they'll come up to the front of the cage and make loads of noise. Courgette...not really bothered.

Haha mine run away from mint!

Lol for mine it's anything with a strong taste/smell - dill, mint, fresh orange peel, they love it. Strange pigs.

Well, none of my 10 like courgette, nor asparagus either. They're not mad on pears, but they'll eat pretty much anything and everything else!

Some of mine will eat it, but it's certainly the last veggie to go when they do get it on the odd occasion...

They'd much rather have pepper or something...

Not tried courgette but mine don't care for pumpkin or sprouts. They love pear.

Mine will not touch it but they like mint. Amelia Jane makes me laugh as after she eats it she starts chewing the fleece!

Mine hate courgette too. They're driving me nuts at the moment. I adopted Isaac last month, and he has completely changed the girls eating habits. They now fight over pepper, which they wouldn't touch before. They eat broccoli and beans, because he does, but now won't touch pear, which used to be their favourite. They're even drinking loads now, because he does!

None of mine will eat it,but strangely enough one of my new boys wont eat cucumber! never come accross apiggy bedore who didnt like cucumber.

I've never tried courgette as I hate it myself :)>>> Mine are quite fussy with new things. They prefer the stuff they know, but I get bored of giving them the same thing, however, if I try to treat them by getting something "nice" they aren't interested
Archie once ate spring onion though rolleyes. I had one of those packs of stir fry veg and was sat on the floor with it with the cage open feeding them and he totters up, steals the spring onion (which I wasn't going to feed them lol), runs off and eats it before I can get it off him. Obviously didn't taste too bad...silly pig.

Mine love chicory :-) It is on the PDSA safe foods list

Does anyone know if pigs can eat chicory? Or red/black kale?

Yeah, they can have both in moderation as with usual kale/green veggies.

And my pigs both happily eat courgettes, they aren't fussy. :))

Asparagus, pumpkin, courgettes and strawberries are disliked by all of our piggies - they hated bananas until Sunday :Ayociexp113:

Cameo says that she'll have their share of the strawberries!

My lot get about 2 halves of a strawberry a year... they love them, especially Cameo, but none of them need the extra calories! {:|

Now I just have to remember which green grocers I saw the red/black kale in. I went in 4 the other day...now that's dedication for you!

Mine definitely won't touch courgette but they love cucucmber & melon, both the yellow ones & green watermelon (don't give them the pips). They love brocolli & kale but hate cabbage & sprouts. Cauliflower they like sometimes but leave at other times. If you come in with a bag of fresh grass they'll sing for it as soon as you come through the door.

Yup, my gang like it! Finley wasn't keen when he first came home but he eats it now :)

Maybe it makes her tongue tingle!

Mine aren't too fussy but no one will eat courgette, tomato, basil or orange. Except Tyler. That boy's a piggie dust bin rolleyes
