Teenage Guinea Pig
One of my pigs makes this crackling noise whenever I hold him. It's like he's squeaking, but the squeak part is missing. ?/
Does anybody else have a "crackling" piggy?

Some piggies do not have a big squeak and sound rather hoarse instead if that is what you mean. I have had two who were not able to produce the goods everytime.
However, have you checked whether your piggy hasn't got a stuffy nose that causes the crackling; sometimes the stress of being picked up and being handled can make the breathing worse. It can be just a mild allergy causing the crackling.

Haha I love this about my pig, he's usually very loud, to the point of hurting my ears, but before he really gets going he crackles and blows air without making the sound properly, he looks embarrassed and ashamed of himself haha
