I am extremely lucky in the fact I have a brilliant market close to me that sells fantastic quality vegetables at such a cheap price.
Today was market day and I plucked up the courage (I'm really shy) to ask the stall holders whether they had any off cuts of vegetables. They were soo lovely and gave me a huge bag filled to the brim with carrot tops, cabbage leaves, spring greens and spinch. I was soo pleased and extremely greatful to them! My trip to the market today ended up costing me £1 (2 punnets of strawberries for my son), a ver cheap day out!
Just goes to show, you dont know what to expect unless you ask!
Anyone else use markets for the piggies veggies?
