Does anyone else have a reactive guinea pig?

Moved the boys outside to their summer residence now the weather has (finally) improved. Been noticing that Sprout is inclined to shout at anything. Birds, people walking along the path, next door’s dogs barking...everything! It isn’t that he’s scared or in pain, I’ve checked. Think he just likes to know there’s someone around. Either that, or he’s playing a game with me.

Also, he’s loud! Easily the loudest guinea pig I’ve ever had. Can even hear him from my annex when I’ve got the windows closed!

Nothing wrong with a shouty pig. Meg isn't shouty apart from when its dindins (veg) time then she sounds like she's being murdered!

I used to be able to hear Smartie from across the road. She would hear my car coming and begin telling me how hungry she was.

Kanga appears to be a shouter and has already learned what the fridge door sounds like when it's opened.

I like shouters They make me smile. Our current piggies only really wheek at meal times and Widget had lost her voice as she has got older and just squeaks a little...

It is quite funny when he shouts at the birds. Or the wind. Chutney’s always been pretty quiet, so it’s just a little bit strange to have a vocal pig again.
