Coco is shocking for slopping capsicum everytime she eats. Does anyone else have guinea pigs that slop their food all down their front. I'm a bit concerned she might have a dental issue but her teeth were excellent last time I took her to the vet for a check up, that was 9-10 months ago mind you but seems to chew fine. I'm wondering if a vet visit might be in order or do I need to stress less. She has lost 100gms gradually over seven weeks which is about the time they both decided they had no interest in pellets anymore and are preferring hay now, some days they ignore their pellets completely in favour of hay. Patchy has lost weight too but not as much. They are both eating like little pigs and are eating massive amounts of hay, they have finished 3 packets of hay off this week. Kinda proud really since they used to eat hardly any hay :)

No but my piggies do pull all there hay out of there rack and walk all over it

Whenever Pearl eats lettuce, she stains her chin fur green, and looks like she has a samurai beard! Later, she tries to lick the juice off, or Zip attempts to lick it off for her.

I think this is fine. Pearl has had many check ups with the vet, and the vet never said she had dental problems. She may just be very messy.

Some of our girls get really messy in the past, cookie always had a red front after pepper

Is something like Coriander or parsley gets chewed okay and go in the mouth at the usual fast speed?

She’s not as fast as Patchy is at eating (Patchy is a real pig) but she’s not eating any slower. She chews her pellets just fine just slops her food all down her front. She’s been slopping for several months and apart from the weight loss is really just the same old lazy bones Coco. I think she’s just a messy eater and anything just a little different sends me into panic mode lol.
