Does anyone give their piggies readygrass?

Does anyone give their piggies readygrass.. Gave my lot it for the first time about a week ago they love it.!
If you havent tried it i think you should give it ago :)
 
I did get a bag but found out it was very high in calcium so I have not bought any more.
 
Mine adore it! I love the smell of the stuff I alway feel the need to roll around in it!

As piggy fan said its high I calcium do should only be given occasionally as a treat!
 
I never know what to think about readigrass/others in terms of calcium. Some threads on here say it's too high, others state that it's just grass (obviously) and can be fed daily with no ill effects...

Mine get it every day sprinkled generously over their hay and love the stuff. :)
 
Our Piggys love it!
They have it around 3 times a week, I don't see what's wrong with giving them this as long as its not used as a replacement for their regular hay.

I started buying it when we had a rabbit with a poo forming problem-a nurse from our vets recommended it and I've been buying a large £7 bag from our local stables ever since-lasts ages.
 
We use it as a treat/supplement. For my special needs boy Hamish, it's often the only thing he'll eat especially if his teeth are playing up. It helps me keep his weight up.

They love it and it's freeze dried grass so i don't see how it an be any worse than them grazing all day....
 
My boys love readigrass. They eat it a lot.

I gave them some today and yesterday and then some about a week before that.

They let me know when they want it as they stand around the bowl and stare at me. Its their readigrass bowl so I know. :))

crumbs thats posh! Bertie has it a couple of times a week usually when he hasnt been outside!

Haha posh. Its their veggie bowl too but they seem to know what time is veggie time and the rest of the time is 'mummy we demand readigrass' or they glare and squeak at me. xD
 
Mine go mad for it, if you heard their squeaking you would think i was killing them lol.!
Is it good for their teeth like hay or not really? Mine still get hay but just wondered if it had the same effect.?
 
doesnt say anything on the packet about their teeth. Just cleaned Bertie out in case we go car booting tomorrow morning. I am piggie sitting next doors 2 girls and their rabbit so it is a bit of a rush in the morning, chopping veggies, changing water, feeding dogs and then opening my cereal!
 
Mine all love it and my two rescue neutered girlies from Rugby Rabbit and Guinea Pig Rescue used to be fed it on alternate days by the rescue.
 
I give it to my two on rainy days when they can't go out so they don't miss out on their grass - and they seem to love it. It does smell gorgeous to me too!
