Does anyone know a dental vet in Derbyshire?

I took my 3 year old Guinea Pig to the vet today as he's been unwell for the past 2 weeks and hasn't responded to the Baytril they gave me for his URI. The vet I saw today did a more thorough examination, and gave him Ronaxan for the infection. She also noted that his back teeth are starting to grow which could cause problems as he's not eating solid food at all (I am syringe feeding him).
I'm very reluctant to have GA used on him for the procedure as I lost a Guinea Pig last year whilst he was having his teeth done. With this piggie being thin there is the possibility that he wouldn't pull through, so I would really appreciate any help finding a vet that does conscious dental work and isn't too far from Derbyshire.

Spoke to a friend and former forum member who runs an excellent rescue near Derby and she recomends Easipet Care in Burton and recomends either speaking to Laura or Bunny. Don't know if they do concious but worth ringing and asking. Think this is the link for them http://burton.easipetcare.com/

Another thing it may be worth doing is phoning round all the vets in your area, this is how we found our vet that perform concious dentals.

If you can get to Northampton, Simon Maddock at the Cat and Rabbit Clinic is very good with guineapig teeth and he mainly carries out dental treatment without the need for GA. Tel: 01604 478888.
