ditto the above. Brilliant forum - lots of members are on there as well as here :)

I must try Wabbiting. No offence to those who use RU but its not like here. It seems a bit cliquey and posts go unreplied too. Is there a Guinea Lynx type website for rabbits as well?

I don't think thats true about RU at all :o. Its very informative & the people are very helpful. so i think you mean its not airy fairy like this place, ie dosnt put up with ignorant/bitchy people on their forum ::)

Yes it is informative but this place has a good community. I guess because I'm a new poster that posts get unnoticed. This forum is not airy fairy at all as far as I am concerned its the best forum for Guinea Pigs (I've tried a few and I've found many to be nasty and goes against what I believe in.) I will stick with RU I've just had conflicting advice there as a new rabbit owner.

The trouble with RU is that there are plenty of informed people who will give good advice, but there are also several people with little kjnowledge but BIG opinions so you have to be careful to sift out the rubbish information. And it IS very cliquey. I learnt a lot there but find it too much trouble to log in much now.

Agreed. As a new rabbit owner everyone was friendly but when i asked questions i just got 'Welcome to the forum and a waving icon' all very friendly but questions were not getting answered. Just got the impression if i had been around years i would be getting more replies. We havent all got the time to wade through past posts to get answers. Still a good site though. :)

I think thats a bit uncalled for really, people on this forum don't like people who make comments like that. thats the difference between here and RU, perhaps you shouldnt be using this forum if thats how you feel? totally agree with both Louise and Lindsay.

agreed. Good if I desperately need advice for the bunnies and can't find anything anywhere else, and definately informative, a good forum, but some of the users can be a bit, hmm! Perhaps they don't realise they come across that way, but I've felt it.

This is far by the best guinea forum I've signed up to, it's no way airy fairy, a lot of people come here trying to 'find their feet' with their guineas, and are given, on the whole, good, consise advice, a lot of what they would never get from breeders/pet shop workers/vets.

Edit, sorry to hijack your thread Caryl :)

I do believe Emma from what you have replied to this is the pot calling the kettle black ;D Only from what i have observed ::)

so you are saying everyone can have an opinion just as long as everybody agrees with each other then :-X

People can have a difference of opinion it's just how it comes across to others. I prefer to be welcoming and friendly, I've no time to be argumentitive on forums thats so 90's and done that in my teens. (This is by no means an attack on anyone) it's just how I work forums. If I find it's not for me then its not for me I move on, like I've done with many guinea pig forums.

I don't think there are many rabbit forums out there not when you think of the amount of pig forums there are. :)

no of couse not it is just you have been so defensive with your posts and it rubs people up the wrong way, and to penly be unkind to people saying the forum is airy fairy, just not nice, do you own pigs?

cause if you do have you used any advice on here because at the end of the day that is the most important thing not the people, we are an added bonus when you get to know us ;)
