Does anyone know what this is on my guinea pigs back.

Vet said it was mites but it seems to be getting worse. Looking forward to some advice thank you
 
While I’m not sure what it is, it looks very painful
Did the vet prescribe any medication?
 
Somebody will be able to give more advice than me, for the meantime I suggest you try to keep it clean, so it won’t get infected x
 
If it’s getting worse it would be worth going back to your vet, is your vet cavy savvy? If they’re not too experienced it would be worth looking on the vet locator on the forum and perhaps try a more experienced one :)

Have you got any other pigs? If so, are any of them showing symptoms? I’d imagine she will need some metacam (pain killer and anti-inflammatory) as well as the treatment. If could be fungal or bacterial so it would need proper treatment from an experienced vet.
