Like hay haha Whenever it's time to buy my guinea pigs sawdust, hay and straw I get ecstatic about it because I just know as soon as I have laid their fresh bed they will popcorn around and get all excited lol I love seeing them happy over the smallest of things, such wonderful creatures. Any extras I can afford I will buy also can't get enough for them :(|)

(hanging head low.....) Yes, Yes I do! I went out yesterday and bought the girls a new fleece blankie! And it took me 10 minutes to pick it out....I loved every minute of it!

Ha ha yes I do!:))

I bought a pop up tent the other week and could'nt wait to get it home! Scrappy loves it and when its floor time after he has had a run around he sits in his tent down the side of my chair and I'm sure he's watching Eastenders! ha ha ha :)):)):))

Yeap, that is me! :))

I order goodies on-line or just pop to the local petstore. I get excited at giving my piggies what I have bought.

I am happy and they are also .... good news all around!

Glad I am not the only one to get excited at the prospect of a new bottle of disinfectant...

I just ordered another big box of hay. That is very exciting!

Another piggy product buying addict here too! I seem to have spent a fortune on line for the gang recently, Cavy Cuisine, mixture of different hays, 1ml syringes (hoping not to need those for a while!), willow balls, the list is endless.:))

Sad as it may seem, I also take great delight in buying all the veggies that are on special offer in my local supermarket, it's great fun seeing how far I can make my budget stretch and the pigs get a nice variety of grub into the bargin.

Guilty as charged!

I was so excited yesterday when I saw my local supplier is now stocking Megazorb, and of course it didn't just stop there! They are also stocking all the excel samples, so 1 of each in my basket. Just a shame they don't seem to have the run I keep pestering them about in yet.

I get excited too at just buying their basic needs - I bought them the new Excel blackcurrant and oregano flavour food. I couldn't wait to get it home to see their wee faces eatting it as they demolished the sample of it.

I drove to Birmingham to pick up an indoor cage as I'm on holiday next week and I doubt my kids will put them outside in the run. The cage gives them a fair bit more space to run around.
I've had a big grin on my face since I got it. and even bigger when I st it up today..

I love getting them new types of herbs and hay and those sticks they can nibble even though they're not cheap!

YUP! Me too - guilty as charged.

ANYTHING I get for them I am pleased about, herbs, food, blanket - the lot! The latest is the fleece blankets, I got six pale blue ones and then the brown ones came up at asda - so much more practical so I got 6 of those. I have 3 books on their way and I hubby that keeps saying 'you what?'!

It's so nice though - it's easy to give them such a wonderful life so why not.

Just thought i would point out that sawdust can cause respiratory problems in piggies and straw can cause eye injurys as its to hard unlike hay,its recommended that niether of these are used for piggies.

I go nuts over buying guinea pig items although do not have a good range where i live so dont go out all that much for piggy shoppping x

I have had piggies for years now and did not know that and I have also had no health problems like you have mentioned. If all of this stuff is so bad for guinea pigs, I have also heard on this board that some company's GP food is bad for their health, then why do they stock it for guinea pigs? I will now not be using sawdust and straw, thanks for telling me otherwise I would have gone on oblivious to this! It's just bad that they are allowed to do these things if it is bad for the animals health.

it is shocking what the companys promote all for the sake of making money,i had someone try to sell me what the call "rodent chocolate treats" the other day which we all know is unhealthy for them.
If the companys stuck to making healthy things and researching what is bad for piggies they would spend more money so they will probably never to the right thing, just like companys recommending piggy wheels and balls which are in no way safe for them.

Oh! I am so guilty of this!

I buy them hideys and tubes that they don't even need!
I have bowls and water bottles galore!
Fleeces coming out of my ears...

I can't help it!

I ordered them a "Trippy Love Snug" from Hammocky Hammocks the other day, too! And I'm so tempted to buy them a bed each...
I just love how excited they get when they have new stuff to poop in, chew up and explore.

I swear, it can't be legal to be that cute :<>

OH NO! I've just been to Hammocky hammocks thank to this thread and left sharpish as i found myself reaching for my card! Noooooo nothing else this month please.

I'll give you all my strength and give you the power to resist! pow-pow

But it may mean that I buy something else for my piggies from there!
