I rang them when I first got my pigs as I wasn't working so would have qualified (as a just in case measure at the time). The woman who answered the phone snapped at me and said they weren't taking on any new people. That was the end of that then!
I have never used them for my guineas nor wouldnt personally as my mum did use them for her cat. She only went twice as Mitzi was poorly, the vet said she was fine just old age and later that day she died from a masive heart attack.
Only to be used in a real emergency in dire financial circumstances I would say but only my opinion :
