Does Intrafungol Treat External Fungal Also?

Sorry if I sound stupid, but I'm really curious about this. I suspect a mild fungal skin infection (not ringworm) with my piggies as ivermectin for 4 weeks didn't completely cure them, they're still extremely itchy with heavy scurfing so I'm taking them to the vets this week to discuss treating for fungal as well as mites/lice again. The weather has been terrible recently so I'm reluctant to bathe them, I'm looking for ways to treat fungal without bathing. I know intrafungol is designed for systemic fungal infections, but does it also treat external? If needs a must I will bathe them but I'd rather not as I'm worried about URI's with how cold it has been lately.

Systemic fungal works on any part of he body, including the skin. It is very effective with ringworm, for instance.

Yes, provided you are sure that it is fungal; if in any doubt, please see a vet!

They had mites that was diagnosed with a skin scraping, is it common for piggies to require more than 4 weeks of topical ivermectin to cure them?

I don't think it's common but one of my previous pigs needed 7 weeks of treatment with Ivermectin before he was completely clear.

7 weeks? Wow. How did you know when to stop the treatment, did you just keep giving it until his symptoms went away?

I think I could have possibly stopped at 6 but the vet recommended one more week.

He was really itchy and constantly tore at himself with his teeth and nails.

He still had a scab at week 6 but the skin looked alot calmer and less red, and he wasn't scratching anymore.

2 out of my 8 pigs had a small bald patch with scabbing on their backs which has cleared up with the treatment they've had, but they're still furiously itching, sensitive and have large flakes of skin everywhere, particularly on their backs. Hair does come out in tufts with skin attached at the end which makes me think fungal from what I've read, I had their skin scrapings also tested for yeast but that came back negative, even so I feel treating for fungal as well as mites would not hurt them and most vets do that automatically anyway. I just really want this sorted but I know my vet will roll his eyes at me for wanting to treat for fungal as well since the yeast test was negative.
