As I was going to trim both Kiko and Snookumz nails today, I noticed that Snookumz had something on her foot. I thought it was a piece of poop stuck to her, and tried to get it off, couldn't. I brought her to the basin that I have in my laundry room and tried to see it more closer up to realized that it's actually stuck IN her foot! I looked up it and came to the conclusion that it might be bumble foot, but I'm still unsure. Can anyone help me out? :(

(Sorry for bad pictures. Snookumz hates being pick up and they were taken in my basin.)

That looks like a spur to me. It's a bit of hard, dead skin that grows. It's harmless

Hi! Your guinea pig has the beginnings of a foot spur. These are very common growths of dead skin that only need addressing if they stick out badly and are in danger of catching and ripping painfully into live skin. In this case, please ask a vet or nurse to cut them for you to avoid cutting into live skin.

I agree that it looks like a little foot spur to me, too. Piggies sure do know how to make us feel panicked.
