I've decided to put my girl guinea pig 'Pixel' with my friends guinea pig 'Buttons' to breed (hopefully)! Do I have to wait for my guinea pig to be in season and if so how can I tell when she's in season?

pelvic bones dont fuse - They become less elasticated which means that it is harder for the babies to pass through the birth canal O0HonkeysMummy said:melissa2007 said:Oh thank you. What age do they need to be? She's a year old so you could have saved my Piggy if that is too young.
She is far to old to be breed as her pelvis is now fused.

yep same here O0Sophie1307 said:Yep got to admit, Guineas can give birth over one year but its such a massive risk. I would not for a second consider taking that chance.
