I have 4 male guinea pigs ( peanut, butters, jelly, and toast ) and butters in particular likes to scent everywhere and it’s quite easily the worst thing I’ve smelled in my whole life. If I get him neutered will that help to dilute this problem or would that be pointless?

Yes, they’re in two separate cages. Is there anything else I can do to lessen the smell?
Are either of the pairs new to your home? Are they young and hormonal? These aspects can cause them to smell more - new piggies in the environment and the excitement of it and their hormones but it’s not something that will ever completely stop as will just always scent mark
What type of bedding do you use and how often are you changing it? Cleaning out boars too much can produce more of a smell as they will feel the need to mark even more in a clean cage. It can help to always ensure there is some soiled bedding in their cage so they feel it is still theirs.
